Carroll
Thatcher Planning Group is very proud to announce that all three
Principals are now IFMA Fellows. Meredith Thatcher and Guy Thatcher
were selected as Fellows of the International Facility Management
Association (IFMA) in 2005, joining Carroll Thatcher, who was
named a Fellow in 2000. Meredith and Guys achievements were
honoured at IFMAs World Workplace in October (please see
the images to the right of this page).
Being
named an IFMA Fellow is the highest honour that the Association
can bestow on a member. The IFMA Fellowship makes Carroll, Meredith
and Guy part of an elite core of respected leaders who have made
superlative contributions to the facility management profession.
IFMA Fellow is a lifetime designation.
IFMA
has over 17,000 members, from 50 countries, in more than 125 chapters
and 16 industry- and interest-specific councils. Only 65 members
have been honoured as the IFMA Fellow. In IFMAs 25-year
history, the three Thatchers are the only mother, father, and
daughter to be awarded IFMA Fellowship.
Meredith
Thatcher was one of five finalists shortlisted for the Ottawa
Women's Business Network's 2002 Businesswoman of the Year Award.
Nominations are based on proven business acumen, outstanding leadership
skills, contribution to the success of the organization through
innovation and creativity, notable achievements in their field
of expertise, community involvement, and demonstration of a balanced
lifestyle.
Meredith
Thatcher was voted one of the Top 50 Most Influential People
in the Construction, Property Management and Design Industry
by a panel of industry peers in 1999.
For
her post-graduate course Facility Management: Theory and Principles,
Carroll Thatcher was named Distinguished Author for Educational
Materials by the International Facility Management Association
