Jean
was involved in the development of the four courses in Michigan
State University Master's Level Certificate in Facility Management,
including writing, editing, proofreading, research, coordinating
data conversion from text based format to Web-ready format, and
video editing. She acted as a Teaching Assistant for one of the
courses in the program, Facility Management: Theory and Principles,
in early 1999.
Jean
is co-author of a case study describing the evolution of the four
courses, published as a chapter in a book edited by Eric Teicholz,
"Facility Design and Management Handbook," published
by McGraw Hill in 2001.
She
assisted with the development of a two-week Internet-based course
on Working in Virtual Teams, aimed at facility professionals,
including writing the module "The Dynamics of Virtual Teams."
Jean
provided technical writing and editing for the Accommodations
Study done for the Corporation of the Township of Lanark Highlands.
Carroll Thatcher Planning Group was engaged by the Township to
investigate options to reconfigure their office space based on
space requirements and required proximities.
In
a project for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, documenting
the functional requirements for the chemical and bio-hazard labs
at St-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Jean developed the data collation and
analysis spreadsheets, photo-logs and Word documents and conducted
quality control on the very large amount of data, as well as on
the draft and final reports.
