   Jean Grant

Jean was involved in the development of the four courses in Michigan State University Master's Level Certificate in Facility Management, including writing, editing, proofreading, research, coordinating data conversion from text based format to Web-ready format, and video editing. She acted as a Teaching Assistant for one of the courses in the program, Facility Management: Theory and Principles, in early 1999.

Jean is co-author of a case study describing the evolution of the four courses, published as a chapter in a book edited by Eric Teicholz, "Facility Design and Management Handbook," published by McGraw Hill in 2001.

She assisted with the development of a two-week Internet-based course on Working in Virtual Teams, aimed at facility professionals, including writing the module "The Dynamics of Virtual Teams."

Jean provided technical writing and editing for the Accommodations Study done for the Corporation of the Township of Lanark Highlands. Carroll Thatcher Planning Group was engaged by the Township to investigate options to reconfigure their office space based on space requirements and required proximities.

In a project for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, documenting the functional requirements for the chemical and bio-hazard labs at St-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Jean developed the data collation and analysis spreadsheets, photo-logs and Word documents and conducted quality control on the very large amount of data, as well as on the draft and final reports.
